Vasectomy Reversal

A vasectomy surgery cuts and seals off the tubes connecting the testicals and the prostate. The consequence of this is to prevent sperm from being ejaculated. While this prevent reproduction, it does not alter the production of hormones, especially testosterone. However, most men find a vasectomy uncomfortable, from both anaethetic and itching from the regrowth of hair.

Vasectomy reversal is sometimes undertaken by those who have changed their minds. Vasectomy should always be considered as sterilization rather than contraception, as a vasectomy reversal is no guarantee that it will be effective. It is expensive and the success rate drops over time.
